FASTag, an electronic Toll collection system
NHAI has rolled out program for Electronic Toll Collection on Toll Plazas on National Highways to be called FASTag. FASTag is a device that employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for toll payments directly from the prepaid account linked to it. It is affixed on the windscreen of your vehicle and enables you to drive through the toll plazas. FASTag - The Future of Toll collection
Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system - A low cost, highly efficient toll management system that increases customer convenience.
Using the ETC system, a RFID prepaid tag will be affixed in the upper central portion of the vehicle's windscreen. It will work as a prepaid toll account and there will be automatic toll deduction when the vehicle crosses a toll plaza.
FASTag is currently operational across 335 Toll Plazas in the country.
