RFID and distance measurement

Hello Guys,

I have a new project that I want use RFID to verify ID of item and I need measurement distance from reader to TAG. The maximum distance between the reader to TAG is about 7 cm and I want know distance between reader to TAG with accuracy about 1 cm.

Is it possible?

125KHz RFID reader anntena coil - Forum for Electronics

i need some help pls... i currently modified a 125KHz RFID reader anntena coil, the actual read range for 125KHz RFID reader is about 4cm. I plan to remove the original anntena coil and replace with another anntena coil to improve the reading range. so, what type of material i needed to build the antenna coil? for example copper? is that correct? how many turn for the anntena coil? how many...

13.56MHz PA for RFID reader reference design.

I found an application note from MicroChip about a 13.56MHz RFID reader reference design. I attached the schematic here. I have some questions:...

For the power amplifier, how to design the matching network? how to decide the component value?

In this PA design, the value of RF chock L1 is not large (0.47 uH), actually it has the same value as L2. Why? Also, C9, C10 and C31 are connected in...

difference of 13.56mhz and 125khz rfid

hi,

What is the difference between 13.56 MHz and 125kHz RFID tag?

Thanks

125khz or 13.56mhz difference

Hi,

Well 13.56 MHz are close range tag <10cm or so and always used in smart card, auto immobilizer.. For 125 kHz are use for long range tag (can be detected up to 1 meter). It is used in animal identification and others..

How to boost a 125KHz RFID signal? - Forum for Electronics

I have a situation where I am using a RFID module to read a 125KHz tag, but the signal is very weak, so I would like to boost it. But, I am not sure how to do that. The antenna connects to the module (two pins) but since the signal is bi-directional (i.e. the 125KHz driving signal and the tag response signal) I don't think a simple amplifier will do the job. How to address this issue? Thanks!

[Request] RFID antenna design tips ?

I'm not expert in RFID antenna design, especially magnetic coupling.

But that's my today (and for the rest of the month) duty ...

I have a few books, about RFID theory (physics, economy, and so on...) but not so many information about layout design.

For example, here's a few question I'd really appreciate you help me answer.
