Active Location Tracking for Hospital and Healthcare Institutions

Our Active RFID Tags can be applied to healthcare centers with 3D modelling and location tracking. Such solution is ideal for tracking patients needing heighten care (elderly, children) yet still mobile within hospital compounds. The same system can be used for tracking and management of high value medical equipment, and also personnel tagging.

RFID BASED SHOPPING CART

RFID (radiofrequency identification) technology offers the ability to provide many new services and conveniences in the retail environment. Shoppers can be guided electronically to find desired products that are tagged with RFID chips and whose locations are tracked by RFID readers in the store (e.g., smart shelves or other reader systems). Smart shopping carts with electronic displays, in communication with a retail computer system, can display a map associated with a shopping list downloaded...

RFID Hand-Held Inventory System

Bulk identification of products and short scanning time are two of the prime advantages of using RFID tags, instead of bar code labels, An RFID tag can either be active or passive. An RFID tagged product, may either be passed through a reader or scanner. The tag reading process, begins with the RFID antenna, sending a scanning signal which activates the transponder in a tag to respond. An RFID reader consists of a scanning antenna that are attached to computers, which can receive signals from...

DEFCON 18: Extreme Range RFID Tracking 2/4

Speaker: Chris Paget

If you think that RFID tags can only be read a few inches away from a reader you haven't met EPC Gen2, the tag that can be found in Enhanced Drivers Licenses - this 900MHz tag is readable from 30 feet with off-the-shelf equipment. Without amplifying the signal from a commercial reader we were able to equal the previous Defcon record of 69 feet, and with less than $1000 of equipment we achieved considerably further than that. This talk covers everything you'll need to...

Efficient asset management system

A prototype of an efficient asset management system that makes use of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to track laboratory equipment is designed and implemented. The system enables automation of all aspects of the asset management ecosystem by providing an interface where different stakeholders can play their roles and also facilitates the tracking of laboratory equipment by making use of a map. An ACM812A RFID reader and Squiggle tags provide the hardware for the system....
