Phase-jitter modulation - Wikipedia
Method[ edit ]
PJM works by representing data as very small phase changes in the instantaneous phase of a carrier signal. PJM can be regarded as a very low-level phase-modulation (PM) signal where amplitude-modulation (AM) components are suppressed to provide a constant-modulus signal. Most of the power (greater than 99%) in a PJM signal is transmitted as an un-modulated carrier and conveys no information. Less than 1% of the transmitted power is used for conveying the modulated data.

Abstract
Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology is the enabler for applications like the future internet of things (IoT), where security plays an important role. When integrating security to RFID tags, not only the cryptographic algorithms need to be secure but also their implementation. In this work we present differential power analysis (DPA) and differential electromagnetic analysis (DEMA) attacks on a securityenabled RFID tag. The attacks are conducted on both an...

Sensor Sense: RFID for smart position sensing | Machine Design
Robert Repas 1 | Nov 04, 2010
In most applications, radio-frequency-identification (RFID) systems are used to store product and process data on, or retrieve it from, a special RFID tag using wireless technologies. Power to operate the electronics in the tag comes from the RF energy of the interrogating transmitter. When powered, the tag transmits the programmed identifying information to the receiver. But if you look at RFID tagging on a more-fundamental level, it's essentially a smart proximity sensor.
A proximity sensor detects the presence of a piece of metal and...

RFID Portal - Gateway RFID Store

RFID Portal
RFID portals are designed for entrances, gates, doors, and hallways where a RFID reader is needed. The portal can actually scan RFID tags as they move into and out of an entrance. This is especially important in areas where tagged items are either entering or being removed from an area and need to be catalogued quickly.
How RFID Portals Work
RFID portals work similarly to other RFID technology. Like other readers, they have a transceiver and an antenna. The transceiver generates a weak radio signal that has a range of a few feet. This then activates a RFID tag...

How is RFID used inside a living body?
RFID devices that are intended to be implanted inside a living body (like an animal or human being) have special requirements. They need to be encased in a special kind of casing that will not irritate or react with the living tissues that they are inserted into. The casing must also be transparent to the scanning radio-frequency beam that activates the chip. Some RFID vendors have created biocompatible glass for use in these applications.
One potential problem with being placed within a living organism is that the tiny RFID...
