Auto Attendance System by Prisms Communications

The System is based on Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFID) whereby students ID cards would be replaced with an electronic I card and the Readers would be placed around the corridor, as the students passes by, he just shows that card to the reader and attendance is marked in the computer, those who are absent their parents would be informed with the help of Absenteeism SMS. The system gives you the whole attendance history of a student 0n the top of the click.

Radio frequency identification

Radio frequency identification: (RFID) A system for remotely storing and retrieving data. An RFID tag may be a little sticker that can be attached to an object. The tag contains an antenna that enables it to receive and respond to a radiofrequency query from an RFID device called a transceiver. Most RFID tags in use today do not have their own power supply. The radiofrequency query induces a tiny electrical current in the...

Sobal's RFID is Reaching for the SkyeModule : DigInfo

DigInfo - http://movies.diginfo.tv Sobal Co. showed their new Skye Module M9CF which is useful for manufacturers who want to setup their own RFID system for keeping track of their products. RFID, radio frequency identification, uses radio waves to identify objects through the embedded tags and checks in the associated database or catalogue. These systems used to be more expensive than UPC codes and barcodes but with this system it is making it more viable. The system has three interfaces:...

Arduino RFID switching

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. The tags contain electronically stored information. Passive tags collect energy from a nearby RFID reader's interrogating radio waves. Active tags have a local power source such as a battery and may operate at hundreds of meters from the RFID reader.

Using that system we have experimented lighting rate device which has ability to measure light intensity. The uniqueness...

ELS Assign Touch with Barcode Reader

Metra ELS Assign Touch is an automated locker assigning system, where as a key RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) media, PIN code, Barcode or fingerprint (optional) is used. RFID media is usually in the form of cards and bracelets or it can also be in the form of different pendants, watches, etc.

Extended network configuration enables assigning lockers from the Metra PC software and remote locker management.

The system is suitable for use in schools, colleges, factories, comanies, pools,...

SGH Automated Pharmacy System Cuts "Near Misses"

The new automated system at Singapore General Hospital's (SGH) outpatient pharmacy has reduced significantly such "near misses". Today, incidents of the wrong drug or dosage being taken from the shelves are down to almost zero.

The reason lies in a conveyor belt system that taps on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, which can locate the drug, record the dosage and identify who it is for when the bar code on the prescription sheet is scanned into a computer.

The system will also...
