DEMO: An RFID Reader Emulator for Multicode environments

This demonstration introduces an RFID emulator for practitioners and researchers of RFID-based automatic identification systems. The emulator features (1) the generation of multiple standards codes (ISO, GS 1 and even proprietary) RFID tag events, (2) the dynamic tag population control emulating moving tags (3) the implementation in Raspberry Pi 3 which allows on-site uses (4) compatiblility to Low Level Reader Protocol (LLRP). The emulator significantly mitigates the RFID information system...

Product Review - CipherLab 1861 Handheld RFID Reader

What sets apart the CipherLab 1861 is the extended RFID read and write capabilities through a Bluetooth transponder. While it works as a standalone device, it can also act as an add-on to an existing CipherLab mobile computer, including the CipherLab 9600 Series and the CipherLab CP50 Series with an optional mount. It can scan RFID tags from up to 3.3 feet away, but you'll have to get a little closer to edit data, with a maximum distance of 1.6 feet. The 1861 is one of the most durable RFID...

RFID Door Lock Prototype 1

Possible design for "smart door" for Jigsaw Renaissance (jigren.org). Passing an appropriate RFID tag over the RFID reader causes the servo to lock or unlock the door. A Parallax Propeller Demo Board controls the works.

I have verified that the reader will also detect cards on the other side of the glass.

This design requires no permanent modification to the door and still allows manual control of the lock. The servo-to-lock linkage is a bit delicate but the next iteration should be more...
