Scion tC Push Button Start w/ No Key
My 2006 Scion tC with a key-less push button start. This was accomplished by designing and building a RFID reader under the cup holder that detects the presence of the RFID tag in the key fob.
After the RFID reader detects the tag inside the key fob, a signal is sent to an actuator in the steering column. Which in turn releases the steering lock mechanism in the lock cylinder, allowing free movement of the steering wheel.
I know, it's a lot of work for a simple push button start, but...

RFID TAGS|It's working explained|AUTOMOTIVE&TECH
Hii guys. Back with another video. This video is about RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) tags.(RFID) uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. The tags contain electronically stored information. Passive tags collect energy from a nearby RFID reader's interrogating radio waves. Active tags have a local power source (such as a battery) and may operate hundreds of meters from the RFID reader. Unlike a barcode, the tag need not be within the line...

Bee keepers RFID story
Queen Bee out of Dixon California came by to evaluate rfid for the honeycoombs. Our RFID tech helped with Tag placement and the reader found 150 tags. It worked and they were happy bee keepers. Using the Motorola RFID reader MC3190-Z is a business-class handheld RFID

Arduino RFID Tag Reader using BM019
This is a small prototype project I did for a buddy that needed to verify injection molded parts contained working RFID tags when leaving the assembly line. The arduino polled for an RFID tag and lights the yellow LED when an active (working) RFID tag passed.

RFID - Library
Synopsis:
(sorry for the poor quality. After editing most of the 3D effects have gone....also the system was a little bit slow e.g. the webservice, at that moment, because it was upgrading in the background)
A software I wrote in C# for my chair and the people that are working there. It's a library software that uses RFID-Technology (UHF) to detect books in order to ease the lending and returning process for the user.
It works pretty straightforward: Books are attached with an RFID-Tag. Each...
