The RFID (Radio-frequency identification) tagging of 205,000 books at Aldham Robarts LRC is finally finished. Here's the last book being tagged, well done to all our staff for the summer of hard work !! Phew !! Late Summer 2009.

RFID Library implemented in AmbientTalk: asynchronous communication
This movie shows a library demo application developed in AmbientTalk. The books in the library are tagged with RFID tags and are scanned using a low range RFID reader connected via USB. It shows the intermittent connectivity of the RFID-tagged books is handled by considering it the default instead of the exception and employing asynchronous communication.

Converting RFIQ™ Book Tags to RFID with D-Tech Conversion Software
It's quick and easy to programme Library books already tagged for D-Tech RFIQ™ using the D-Tech Conversion software.
Step 1) Place the book on the RFID staffpad.
Step 2) Scan the existing barcode number from the book.
