RFID Tag

The RFID tag is a satellite-linked PIT tag scanner for seals and sea lions designed to detect seal consumption of PIT tagged fishes. The arrow in the lower left "data panel" indicates the point in the data record that corresponds with the video. When there is no PIT tag being detected the data indicates a "0", and it switches to "1" when a PIT tagged coho smolt is in the RFID field. This tag will ultimately be used to quantify seal predation rates on threatened salmon stocks. It is a joint...

RFID Book Tagging - Library Management Software | MasterSoft

RFID book tagging is the initial process of RFID library management system setup. RFID tag is affixed to each book which contains accession number of the book. RFID Reader is used to perform Tagging. Tagging means writing RFID tag EPC code to library management software and writing accession number to the tag memory.  RFID Reader scans this accession number while performing various library operations such as book search, issue/return/reissue of books, stock verification, Anti-theft...

Gun design uses RFID to identify owner

TriggerSmart startup in Ireland has patented a system that uses an RFID reader embedded in the handle of a firearm to verify the identity of its owner. Patrick O'Shaughnessy came up with the idea after reading about a police officer who had been shot with his own gun. With the help from researchers at Georgia Tech Ireland, O'Shaughnessy and his partner Robert McNamara were able to design a prototype.

A passive, without batteries, RFID tag is embedded in either a bracelet or a ring that is...

nfOSC: OSC tool for RFID readers

This demonstration video shows the nfOSC tool used together with the touchatag RFID reader.

A simple PD example patch receives OSC messages from nfOSC and starts a sample loop, when an RFID tag is detected by the reader device, the loop is stopped when the according tag is removed. The nfOSC tool allows the simplified creation of tangible user interfaces based on RFID tags.
