RFID front door entry using implanted tag
This is a demonstration of the keyless entry system I have installed, I have an implanted RFID tag in my hand which is read by the reader and then authenticated with the atmega CPU inside. The controller board then activates the strike output which allows the door to open. The strike does not interfere with the original locking mechanism therefore you can still use a key for access

We cooked an xIC implantable RFID tag...
In a previous video I successfully tested our implantable xIC tag with The Gun Box. Since I do not have an xIC implant, I tested by implanting it into a piece of raw chicken and using that as a human hand analogue. After the test was over, I decided it might be fun to just cook the piece of chicken at 375F with the tag still inside... you know, for science!

RFID shed door lock using implanted RFID tag.
It's been a while since I've built anything that runs on my implanted RFID tag. By using a simple RFID tag reader and an atmega328p I knocked up this little controller. The atmega outputs a PWM signal that moves the servo to the correct position which pulls the pin in and out to the correct positions.

RFID chip hand implantation
A HiTag S 2048 RFID glass tag measuring 2.12x12mm is implanted into my left hand by body modification artist Lukas Zpira on October 14th 2005.
I had the implant done for a school project at Denmarks Design School where I was experimenting with keyless entry solutions.
Low frequency tags normally have a read distance of up to 10cm, but because this is placed under the skin the read distance is no more than 2cm. This does *not* change with a stronger reader.
