Getting Started with RFID by Tom Igoe; O'Reilly Media

Getting Started with RFID 1 is a very short "book" on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), a way to tag and identify objects over varying ranges, and how to use Arduino to create a few interesting RFID projects. The book assumes that you have some experience with Arduino and micro-controllers (i.e., do you know what a breadboard, jumper wires, and circuits are?).

We start with a very brief introduction to RFID, follow up with two introductory technical tutorials...

Library Mangement System using RFID Arduino - Processing 2 ...

edited October 2015

Hey,

connecting an arduino to processing and a SQL-database is possible, there is a library for that.

But when i think about the background of your question (building a libray-management-system for a college), i doubt that processing is the best idea for such a complex project. Personally i would go for a browser-based approach with python or php.

October 2015

Thank you Sir. This really help. But you said something about web-browser approach using python or php, So can i connect arduino to that browser...

Modern electronic experimenter kits contain modules that just plug together rather than individual components so that now we can quickly get modules talking and then decide in software how the system behaves. Thanks to the wide selection of software library functions we can have a sketch up and running in no time.

These kits are worthy successors to the bags of loose components that were a feature of earlier experimenter's kits. Electronic newbies, practicing engineers and old hands alike are sure to find that these kits interesting. The range of components is...
