How to Protect Yourself Against RFID Signals

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chips are used in all US passports created after 2006 and in 98% of credit cards. The technology was designed to let us bypass the standard requirements of scanning or checking in. However, electronic identity thieves have undermined the security of RFID products by devising scanners that read your personal information without you even realizing it.

There are quick and easy ways to protect yourself from this new kind of identity theft, and Lewis N. Clark...

Munich Public Library: Leading the way with RFID

The Munich City Library (Muenchner Stadtbliothek) has the largest library RFID installation in Europe, with approximately 3 million books and media in circulation across the central library and its 22 branches. The self-service system for checking out and returning books and other media has proven extremely popular with library patrons - and with library staff, who are able to focus on other tasks.

The books and media contain RFID chips based on the ISO 15693 standard.

Worldwide,...

People are getting RFID Chip Implants

It is considered to be a fashion trend right now and soon it will not be optional.

Once it becomes the Mark of the Beast there is no salvation for you even if you remove it.

You must prove your loyalty to God suffering tortures or loosing life for HIm.

Still many will take it.

Richard Syrett investigates RFID Chips

RFID Chips

Could implantable RFID chips or Radio-frequency identification tags currently in widespread use in retail industry be used to surreptitiously track and control people? Richard speaks with several researchers who believe RFID chips present a serious threat to privacy and civil liberties. A professor of computer science and a skeptic argues that fear that RFID chips will be used to control and track humans is rooted in paranoia, not scientific fact. Further, he maintains RFID chips...

RFID Access Control

Really brief demo of homebrew electronic lock with a RFID reader designed for m4102 tags - in this case, a chip embedded in my right hand.

The lock actuator and RFID reader are decoupled allowing for other inputs to also unlock the door (such as TXT messages, pin pads, or the output of facial recognition software and a camera) or be combined (e.g. rfid chip + pin code).

The hardware used for the controller is an arduino for USB to serial and servo controller , but a stripped down version...

Monza X UHF RFID Chips from Impinj

Impinj's Monza® X-2K Dura and Monza® X-8K Dura UHF RFID chips enable users to communicate wirelessly with the processor inside electronic devices using standard UHF Gen 2 RFID readers, unlocking many new benefits for consumer electronics manufacturers, retailers and end users. Embedded directly into the circuit board of an electronic device, Monza X chips link to the device's processor through a standard I2C bus, enabling the processor or a UHF reader to read and write the Monza X chip memory...

Rfid tag reader with arduino nano

Using the RFID-RC522 chip i got from ebay, i am able to program the arduino to read the id of a tag and determine if it is the right code. If right then the arduino will signal to turn on the servo or you can hook up the digital out too a relay. I plan to place this in my car in order that i may unlock my car via a rfid tag instead of a key.

I used instructables guide, but tweaked the code a little bit for my needs: http://m.instructables.com/id/Arduino-RC522-RFID-Door-Unlock/?ALLSTEPS
